Corsets, stars on the menu at El Velódromo

The large display case with corsets, crinolines, and brassieres is one of the star pieces of the exhibition dedicated to textiles, Dressing the Body. Silhouettes and Fashion. 1550-2015, which sets out to show how clothes modify the appearance of the body by way of actions that have alternately tended to compress it and liberate it from the sixteenth century to the present. Twenty-eight of these corsets - combined with a text by Giacomo Casanova about a girl willing to allow him to undo what she was wearing - have become the stars of the menu at Bar El Velódromo.

Since 2010, the inside pages of the El Velódromo menu have served as a graphic and literary magazine. Three double pages are published in each issue which the public is invited to collect and take home. It is creatively directed by designer Albert Planas and writer Julià Guillamon.
