Metròpolis Barcelona

The Disseny Hub Barcelona presents the exhibition Metròpolis Barcelona, a reflection on the past, present, and future of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona. 

The exhibition, which is part of the preparatory works of the Urban Metropolitan Directive Plan (Pla Director Urbanístic Metropolità, PDU), aims to facilitate a new look at the transformations that the Metropolitan Area have implemented since the General Metropolitan Plan (Pla General Metropolità, 1976) was put into effect, and, at the same time, create a base for public discussion. The description of the current metropolitan area highlights the great economic and social dynamism of the territory.  

The exhibition opens Thursday the 29th at 10:45 a.m. and includes the presence of Barcelona's mayor and the president of Àrea Metropolitana (AMB), Xavier Trias, accompanied by the executive vice president of the AMB, Antoni Balmón.  Metròpolis Barcelona runs until April 25th, 2015 .
